According to a sign at the Liceo No. 1 Manuel Rosé, this painting was bought by the Asociación de Padres de Alumnos Liceales (APAL) and donated to the school for its tenth anniversary. During the dictatorship in Uruguay, the painting was confiscated from the school. In 1985, the Comisión de Patrimonio Liceal petitioned to open a search for the painting, which was returned on February 9, 2005. The painting has hung at the school since September 24, 2005, and has the status of Monumento Histórico Nacional.
