The triple triangles in this painting reference Torres-Garcia's text, Estructura, in which he identifies the three triangles "as corresponding with the three worlds: the intellectual, the moral, and the physical; or, if you prefer, to the reason, the soul, and our body [...que corresponden a los tres mundos: el intelectual, el moral y el físico; o si se quiere, a la razón, el alma y a nuestro cuerpo]." (Montevideo: Regla de Oro, 1974).
